Our Private Outpatient Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy offers a broad spectrum of counseling, diagnostics and therapy aimed at patients with mental health problems.

We are committed in the field of the psychiatric and psychotherapeutic curing, since we had experienced the great and unforgettable feeling of „becoming better” during courses of self-knowledge trainings many times earlier.

There are critical situations arising in everybody's life. Sometimes fighting with the problem is beyond our powers. Friends' and family support are essential, but not always enough. Thus it is a good decision if we dare to take advantage of exterior help, since this is a fundamental ability of a healthy personality.

On the other hand, psychic complaints may arise „automatically”without an exterior reason, or, environmental happenings play role in the appearance of the clinical signs, but do not contribute of sustaining complaints further on. There are silent herited genetical predispositions with which the person gets the depression episode when negative life events occur.

The long-lasting suffering destroys our and our family's quality of life as well, therefore early recognition of clinical signs and symptoms is fundamental in the hope of quick improvement.

WHAT HAPPENES IN THE THERAPY?

The psychiatry and the psychotherapy deal with the differentiation of psychic and somatic complaints, symptoms, behaviour disturbances between somatic or psychic origin, make the psychiatric diagnosis and offer pharmacological and psychotherapic treatment possibilities. During the first examination or interview you are eligible to tell and show– in the protection of medical confidentiality - your complaints, symptoms, problems and life situation. On the base of the talk and our clinical picture we form a diagnosis, we talk it over, review the therapeutic opportunities and you and me together decide about the details of your personal treatment.

The principle of the general considerations respecting the patient's free will is however inapplicable it those rare exceptional cases when an endangering behaviour (e.g. suicidal or aggressive behaviour) is seen, in these cases there is an urgent need for an acute hospital treatment.

IN LIFE SITUATION PROBLEMS

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Psychotherapy is the use of psychological methods based on regular personal interaction, to help a person change behavior and overcome problems in desired ways. Psychotherapic conversation changes feelings and experience processing, thus improves an individual's well-being and mental health, reducing troublesome behaviors, improving social skills and facilitating development in creativity.

WHAT HAPPENES IN PSYCHIATRIC CARE?

During psychiatric care we prescribe pharmacotherapy, if you accept the necessity of it. We discuss the expected effects and side effects of the suggested medicine, also the medical, personal risk of having no pharmacotherapy. In psychotic states we prescribe antipsychotics, in depression antidepressiants and mood stabilizers. Tranquillisers (anxiolitics) are suggested only for a short period of time, since there is a danger of getting used to them and further on the emerge of dependency. We call you back in 2-4 weeks time and discuss the taken medicine’s experienced effect and your state.

An integrative therapy with pharmacological (medicines) and psychotherapy approach enables us to more quickly achieve treatment success, to bring about a more rapid stabilization of the illness and thus prevent transition into a chronic disease.
